Tools

Software we build in the open. Each tool runs on your own machine, keeps your data where you put it, and can be left without losing anything.

01 EXPERIMENT In development

RACK

Tell your AI tools how you work.

Write down how you work once: how writing should sound, what an AI must never do, the context it needs and the tasks you repeat. RACK turns that handbook into instructions your AI tools can follow, as a system prompt, an AGENTS.md, or a package for Claude Code, OpenCode or Codex.

  • Start from writing, research or coding, not a blank page
  • Every instruction is a plain sentence you can read, edit or delete
  • Share a handbook across a team, with the source of each instruction shown
  • Plain Markdown and YAML on your own disk; no account, no server

Originally developed by The Good Ship, who retain the RACK name and marks.

02 EXPERIMENT Experimental

SHOAL

Keep the thinking from a workshop.

People add to a shared session from their own phones. They can snap a flip chart, jot a thought, mark a moment or record their table. When the session closes, SHOAL writes it up: a timeline, recurring themes, tensions, open questions, and where what was said differed from what was written down.

  • Runs on the facilitator's laptop; participants join by QR code
  • Nothing leaves the room until the facilitator closes the session and consents
  • Summarises with a local model, so no internet is needed at any point
  • Export as Markdown or PDF, or share a read-only link
